Emergency Unemployment Compensation (EUC) Program Extended for Two Months
The current EUC program has been extended for an additional two months into 2012. Congress passed, and the President has signed, an order to extend the program until March 3rd, 2012. This means Montanans will be able to file new EUC claims when they have exhausted their regular unemployment insurance (UI) benefits.
The extension of the EUC Program is a time line extension only and does not add any additional tiers of benefits.
People currently enrolled in EUC will continue to receive benefits and can move on to the next tier, should they qualify.

We are anticipating no interruption of claims processing and benefit payments with this new legislation extending EUC.
